As a founder of Magic, Shah pioneered the strategic integration of mathematical methodologies into the realm of media investment.

Previously, Shah worked across a gamut of marketing and media roles ranging from large media agencies, creative agencies and consultancies operating across clients ranging from a big 4 bank to start-ups. At Magic he aimed to bring together these diverse worlds into a single offering.

This was termed ‘mediamatics,’ an innovative approach that prioritizes the quantifiability and traceability of media investments via mathematics; the core USP of Magic.

Jonathan has cross-functional expertise in growth & marketing strategies across various revenue models including Subscription, eCommerce, Retail and Publisher businesses.

Through his career he built and led agency departments and in-house marketing teams in Paid Media, Strategic Analytics, and Creative Production with the key objective in building effective operational models for both enterprise and start-ups brands.

Jonathan is managing the growing operations in the US and is passionate on developing breakthrough media strategies and business-led growth plans.

Sam’s has over 10 years of marketing experience working across full-funnel engagement strategies and activations that blend both brand salience and performance objectives.

With experience working both agency side and in-house, Sam has developed marketing strategies matched to business goals for global brands operating in the FMCG, technology, ecomm, health and fitness industries.

In his current role, Sam delivers data-led approaches across both owned and advertising channels to drive measurable impact on business performance.

Sean launched his first advertising business at the age of 30. Which achieved client acquisitions including Nestle Chilled Dairy, Nestle Peters, Lion Nathan, Kellogg’s, PepsiCo, and others.

Sean sold his business to the Photon Group (Enero), where he continued to lead as a Group CEO.

Subsequently, Sean ventured into another advertising endeavour which WPP invested in and subsequently purchased. He held several positions including Group Managing Director Ogilvy Melbourne and CEO of VMLY&R Commerce – the role he held at the time his business was fully acquired by WPP.

With a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success, Sean brings this experience to Magic as Executive Chairman.

As the Head of SEO at Magic, Tommy is a seasoned expert in boosting organic search performance.

Having been stationed in both agency and in-house roles, Tommy has over 10 years’ experience managing Organic Search and Content Marketing campaigns for an array of businesses in the UK & Australia from SMEs to National & Global brands.

Tommy’s technical skillset combined with his holistic and analytical approach ensures Magic remains at the forefront of the industry and abreast of developments within the world of Organic Search.

Ed focuses on ensuring our vision of Mediamatics shines through all that we offer here at Magic. As Head of Signal, he focuses on modeling, data analytics, and the activation of these practices to drive ROI for clients.

Before Joining Magic in 2024 Ed spent over a decade specialising in data-driven strategies, targeting and reporting/analytics for the likes of ANZ, The Lumery (Jetstar, Bunnings, IAG Insurance, Mecca, Movember), Salmat, Officeworks and The New Zealand Defence Force.

Ed has a profound understanding of analysing a company’s customer transactional history, behavioral data and engagement metrics, to shine a light on how the brand can offer more relevant and meaningful customer experiences – at scale.
